Have the team make a turkey out of a person.
  1.  Teaching:  Reverence
What does reverence mean?
a feeling of profound respect for someone or something, an attitude of admiration or esteem, or honor
Eccl 12:13
13      Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole [duty] of man.
How do we show reverence to God?
    1.  Fear God and keep his commandments.
Children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right.  Honor your father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.  If we honor our parents we will honor God.
  2. Be reverent in the house of God.
Did you know that in the Old Testament the pastors of the church were called priests?  The priests were the people elected by God to go and offer sacrifices for the sins of the people.  But before they could go into the holy of holies they had to purify themselves.  The priests actually wore a robe with bells on the bottom of the robe and if they entered the Holy of Holies and the bells stopped ringing then that meant that they had sin in their life and the people would have to pull them out.  They could not stand before the Lord with purifying their life.  Did you know God wants us to live in holiness and be reverent to God today.  In 1 Peter 2:29 the Bible says you are a royal priesthood.

Ex:  Samuel’s sons who did not show reverence eventually died.
Ex:  Mary Sue was a wiggler. When she sat on the front row in church, she wiggled. When it was singing time, she wiggled. Even when she listened to her teacher, Mrs. Cardon, give a lesson, she wiggled.
“Mary Sue,” her teacher would say, “please stop wiggling.”
She tried to sit still. She really did. But then her legs would start swinging back and forth, back and forth. And before she knew it, she was wiggling again.
Then one Sunday, Mrs. Cardon said, “Boys and girls, I have a special Bible story to tell you.”
Mary Sue liked stories. She scooted her chair a little closer to her teacher.
“This story is about how the little children came and listened to Jesus,” she said.
Mary Sue really loved stories about Jesus, so she scooted his chair even closer.
“Jesus Christ taught the people many wonderful things,” Mrs. Cardon said. “The people loved to listen to Him. And they loved to be near Him.”
She held up a picture of the Savior blessing the children. “He had all the children come to Him,” she said. “He took them one by one, and He prayed for them and blessed them.” Mary Sue could see that his teacher’s eyes were shiny with tears as she said, “Jesus Christ loves every child. He loves you.”
Mary Sue felt cozy and warm inside just like she felt when she snuggled up in her fuzzy green blanket. How she wished she could have been there with Jesus!
She looked at the picture again. There, sitting beside Jesus, was a little girl about the same age as Mary Sue. The girl was sitting very, very still, looking up at Jesus.
I could do that, Mary Sue thought. I could sit still if I were sitting by Jesus. All of a sudden, she knew how to stop being a wiggler.
Now whenever she sits in church, she imagines that Jesus is sitting right beside him. And Mary Sue hardly wiggles at all.
3.     If we show reverence to the Lord we will be wise.
