Great Guest Room Tips by Brooke Glass

Tips for creating a great guest room

1. Purchase comfy sheets, at least 250 count, (I love Beech Satin sheets…so soft) for your guest bed.  Beautiful linens are a wonderful way to make the room welcoming.  Also, try to have comfy pillows and not just some you have stuffed in a closet from the 70’s.

2. On the bedside table have an alarm clock, lamp, and reading materials you know your guest would be interested in reading.

3. Frame a photo of you and your guest to personalize the room.

4. Leave a basket with fruit, snacks, and bottled water in the room for your guest to snack on.

5. In the guest bath have a basket or cute tin with all the toiletries someone might need…tooth brush, tooth paste, facial wash, deodorant, hair gel, hair spray, razors, shaving cream, shampoo, conditioner…etc…think of the things you use on a daily basis and provide that for your guest.

6. Have a hair dryer, curling iron, brush, and comb in the bath- room ready for use.

7. Make sure you have soft clean towels, wash clothes, and hand towels ready for use and hanging out to see.
