Chocolate Trifle
1 devil's food cake (plus ingredients on box)
2 boxes instant chocolate pudding
3 cups milks
16 oz Cool Whip
1 tbls instant coffee in 1/2 c milk
6 Skor Bars (like a Heath Bar)
Here comes a fun & festive cake for any occasion! My sister Robin, well she is like a sister anyway, made it for my nephew Tyler's Birthday when he came to visit us in Tulsa. You could follow this idea with any cake & any candy you like or try fresh fruit too!
Bake the cake according to the box in two 9 inch pans; set aside to cool. Now, mix 3 cups milk & 1/2 cup coffee mixture with pudding. Then, chop Skor bar into chunks (save back 1 bar to decorate the top). Let the layering begin! Simply layer one cake, 1/2 the pudding, 1/2 the Skor bar, 1/2 the Cool Whip & repeat. Finally, use a potato peeler to decorate the top with chocolate. You can also add strawberries to the top! Refrigerate.
This one is a quick show stopper for any gathering! The kids eyes just lit up when their TiTi brought it to the table!
